Timber Floating Museum

architectural design by Nikolova Aarsø

Do you remember when we were talking about dream clients? This became our dream project. An architectural competition in Norway for a new National timber floating museum. Our favorite part is the facade created by rough timber logs. A quarter of trees are laid on facade in one direction so you can see clean cuts from one side and bark from the other. That's why the facade is changing its color while you're walking around.
